Custom Manufacturing Automation Solutions

owens design

For manufacturers needing factory automation, Owens Design enables new processes with production-ready equipment and rapidly scaling production. “John invited me to join Owens Design in 2003 to develop and grow the engineering team. Since that time, our team has completed hundreds of design and build projects working with some of the most exciting companies in the Silicon Valley.

Second Los Angeles Aqueduct

The aqueduct's water provided developers with the resources to quickly develop the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles through World War II. Mulholland's role in the vision and completion of the aqueduct and the growth of Los Angeles into a large metropolis is recognized with the William Mulholland Memorial Fountain, built in 1940 at Riverside Drive and Los Feliz Boulevard in Los Feliz. The San Francisquito Tunnels (which include the Elizabeth Tunnel) have a flow capacity of 1,000 cu ft/s (28,000 L/s)[33] and are large enough to handle the flow of both aqueducts. Once the combined flow reaches the penstocks above Power Plant #2, water is diverted into the Southern Section of the second aqueduct through the Drinkwater Tunnel to the Drinkwater Reservoir. The Spring/Summer 2019 collection makes references to the Russian constructivist architecture movement and the biblical Tower of Babel.

First Los Angeles Aqueduct

As the city grew, however, it became clear that this supply of water would be insufficient if Los Angeles were to become a major American metropolis, as city boosters wanted. In the early 20th century, efforts to channel water from the eastern slopes of the Sierra Nevada to the city and the surrounding region culminated in the building of the Los Angeles Aqueduct, completed in 1913. Owens Design focuses on high tech industries, offers special expertise in semiconductors, renewable energy, emerging technologies, data storage, and medical devices. Our wide range of application experience includes robotics, laser processes, handling lyophilized beads, and much more. Owens Design estimates the cost to design and build the prototype along with cost for production systems.

Ways to Elevate Customer Satisfaction in Custom Equipment Design & Manufacturing

The resulting St. Francis Dam was completed in 1926 and created a reservoir capacity of 38,000 acre-feet (47,000,000 m3). On March 12, 1928, the dam catastrophically failed, sending a 100-foot high (30 m) wall of water down the canyon, ultimately reaching the Pacific Ocean near Ventura and Oxnard, and killing at least 431 people. The resulting investigation and trial led to the retirement of William Mulholland as the head of the Los Angeles Bureau of Water Works and Supply in 1929.

The aqueduct channeled the water from the Owens River through canals, pipes and tunnels until it emerged onto a spillway in the San Fernando Valley. Speak with one of our design and build experts to explore your project concept and to see if a Phase 1 is right for you. Extend your engineering team and transform your IP into scalable production – from lab to fab in months vs. years. If this fits the customer, Owens Design moves on to Phase 1 which is a week in-depth collaborative process between the customer and Owens Design. This phase helps to reduce risk and accelerate the development cycle by establishing clear goals and specifications and selecting the overall architecture.

Mulholland and Eaton planned to route the aqueduct from the Owens River straight into the San Fernando Valley, an arid region of land nearby the city. With the backing of such powerful players, the $1.5 million bond issue necessary to begin the aqueduct’s construction passed overwhelmingly in 1905. Further ensuring the draining of Owens Valley, the aqueduct project had also earned the support of President Theodore Roosevelt, who considered it an ideal example of his Progressive agenda for the nation. By the 1920s, William Mulholland was already searching for more water for the still-growing Los Angeles region, and was pushing for the building of an aqueduct and a dam on the mighty Colorado River. This ambitious idea would come to pass in four years after Mulholland's death--with the completion of Hoover Dam. From the time it was founded as a small settlement in the late 18th century, Los Angeles depended on its own river for water, building a system of reservoirs and open ditches as well as canals to irrigate nearby fields.

Accelerate & Scale High Tech Production

We have grown our engineering capacity, expanded our software capabilities, and strengthened our expertise in a variety of new process technologies. Through it all, I am proud that we have stayed true to our core values of respect, caring, collaboration and excellence while continuing our record of 100% delivery. In 1917, The Bureau of Los Angeles Aqueduct sought to build a holding reservoir to regulate flow and provide hydroelectric power and storage in case of disruption to the aqueduct system.

To move 14 million ton-miles of freight, the city contracted with Southern Pacific to build a 118 mile long rail system from the Monolith mills to Olancha. Our sense of style is timeless, bringing together a wealth of knowledge, experience and exposure to all that is art and design. Richard Saturnino Owens (born November 18, 1961) is an American fashion designer from Porterville, California. In addition to his main line, Owens has a furniture line and a number of diffusion lines.

“After Bill retired in 2003, we have continued to build on our core values of mutual respect, transparency, collaboration, and commitment to quality. I am very proud that we continue to grow our company and our customers’ trust to solve their most demanding equipment problems, which, in turn, has allowed us to attract and retain the industry’s most talented equipment development professionals. Today, we can boast a knowledgeable and committed workforce of over 70 people in our 45,000 ft2 Fremont, CA facilities. We deliver product designs, prototype builds, CIP, customer specials and volume manufacturing services for the semiconductor and display original capital equipment (OEM) industries.

The collection was shown at Palais-Royale in Paris with a tower the center of the runway bearing inspiration to Tatlin's Tower. The farmers, ranchers and other residents living in Owens Valley had plans of their own for the river’s precious contents, and were seeking federal funding from the Bureau of Reclamation for a public irrigation project in the region. By the end of 1905, however, Eaton and Mulholland were able–using Eaton’s extensive political contacts, as well as dubious tactics such as bribery and deception–to acquire enough land and water rights in Owens Valley to block the irrigation project. In 1904, the Board of Water Commissioners authorized Mulholland and several other engineers to find possible new water sources that would meet the city’s needs.

Combining this technique with the shift key provides a consistent aspect ratio when scaling. From there, choose either “Personal” or “Shared with the team” under “Custom Templates” and then click the “Create New Template” button (if no templates exist) or the plus sign to create a new template. The simplest shape differentiators for words and type include scale, line weight, line breaks and justification. As members of the American Institute of Architects and certified with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, the Principals hold individual licenses throughout the 48 contiguous United States and three Canadian provinces. Green Building Council, the firms commitment to sustainability continues to reinforce its recognition of the critical role of architects in todays world -- a sensitivity integrated into its projects and client values.

About Chipman Design Architecture

Integrating both advanced technology and dependable mechanisms will ensure a contactless experience from initial entry and beyond. CDA has been a remote-capable work environment since the beginning of 2020, and currently, all our job site visits and construction sites are COVID compliant. We believe that human behavior is inherently structural, and our ability to navigate creative and practical solutions allows us to be the ultimate connector between the public and their experience with an environment. While we value pencil to paper, we integrate the latest technology to innovate the design process. John earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois/Urbana reinforcing his studies at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Versailles, France, and at the Nacional d’Art Decoratif de Nice, France. Throughout his professional life, he has traveled extensively for both business and research throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

More on How We’re Thinking About Architecture Design Post-COVID-19

This collaborative spirit invites open communication on a near-daily basis, ensuring the highest levels of customer service are not only met, but exceeded. Leveraging our extensive design library and innovative Visualization Studio, our design process allows for face-to-face workshops with project stakeholders, in order to create the ultimate physical expression of the brand. Chipman Design has a proven track record of extraordinary design and is recognized throughout the industry for its expertise in creating engaging and future-facing retail environments.

CDA talks to the New York Times about shifts in restaurant layouts post-Covid-19

For example, a lot of space once used for sales or dining will now be taken over by behind-the-scenes work as vendors continue to shift to more takeout and pickup service. Chipman Design Architecture has weathered over four decades of economic turbulence by consistently leading with our values. We believe people come first, standing as a partner by our clients’ side, and committing the talent and resources needed to innovate through any storm. Throughout the construction process, our team acts as an extension of your team to manage the project from construction kick-off to turnover, right up to grand opening. In addition to responding to contractor RFI’s, our team can perform site observation visits, compliance visits and Interior Design FF+E installation oversight.

Best Hospitality Architecture + Interior Design Firm / USA

When working with indents and uniform shapes, I make sure my indents always fall at half-shape width; this imbues the hierarchy with an easy-to-update standard. The feature set of Miro has been tremendously helpful in focusing these planning sessions, with many of the fundamental techniques detailed above coming into play. Because the intervals of the font-size counter jump dramatically once you pass the 80pt mark, you’ll want to start manually adjusting the 80pt+ scale of the type by dragging the corner of the text frame. However, before you really start to flex with the techniques listed above, you’ll want to create a board template. We aren’t just taking every safety precaution available, CDA is leading the way with foresight and imagination on how public spaces need to not only adapt now but also thrive in a modified future. We are honored to safely guide the leading national retail, restaurant, and hospitality groups through the pandemic in order to maintain public health and economic stability.

Planning & Programming

With its corporate office in Chicago, an office in Los Angeles and an affiliated office in New York, the firm is recognized nationally for its expertise in prototype design development, site adaptation and visualization services. Client presentations are created in-house using 3-D computer renderings and animations, enhanced by hand-drawn conceptual design sketches. Over the past five years, I’ve used the platform to map out various facets of my family’s architectural firm.

It was in the early 1950’s that Albert B. Chipman established one of the first professional practices devoted to commercial planning and design. A generation later, Albert’s son John Chipman expanded the business from its initial staff of three to build the architecture firm Chipman Design, in 1979. By the mid 1990s, state-of-the-art computer technology became one of the firm’s hallmark services. In 2019, CDA celebrated their 40th anniversary and today it is still family owned with John Chipman’s daughter, Lauren Chipman, leading the team into the 21st century. More advanced techniques, such as grouping and layers, object links and color will be covered in future posts.

We strive to build extraordinary experiences in physical environments on a national scale. Since that initial flagship store, collaboration with Chick-fil-A’s design and construction team has grown to accommodate its expanding national program. Chipman regularly provides architectural and design services for drive-thru restaurants, Urban In-Line stores, mall locations, and special projects. For some of the brand’s most complicated, multi-story locations in Manhattan, Chipman Design is able to leverage its in-house Visualization Studio to design virtual walkthroughs and 3D simulations that ensure execution is exactly right. The first step is to perform the internal due diligence and assemble all platforms into a single board to serve as a platform infrastructure kick-off template. I’ve included both the preliminary assembly I performed along with the final platform template to highlight the difference between boards made for initial/personal reference and boards made for general company use.

From platform infrastructure and move planning to org charts and dashboards, the platform has proved invaluable in providing simpler reference to process-based ideas. All my time spent in Miro has borne out a wealth of (personal) best practices and time-saving techniques, built to give one’s workflow ease and elasticity. A respected innovator in restaurant, retail and hospitality, Chipman Design Architecture continues a legacy that began almost 70 years ago.

Our team meets or exceeds all benchmarks of architecture and design fields within the US. Before putting pen to paper, we like to identify a common communication style and define project goals. With these established, we develop the design and visual language of the space, discovering how your brand will be imbued within every physical element. Once you begin to stack up board-specific color and shape definitions such as these, legends or keys become essential, particularly when the intention is to create a template for general use. After stacking platforms in importance from top to bottom, indentation creates a helpful secondary prioritization.

Shape, color, and content – these three categories build the sequence of cognition or the order in which we perceive information through visual perception. If you’re only using content (words) to convey meaning, you’re losing a ton of terrific opportunities for more nuanced and dynamic definitions. As thought leaders on architectural design in a post-COVID world, we’re committed to keeping our clients and industries updated with the latest perspectives and findings.

chipman design architecture

When setting up a board for personal reference, I don’t censor myself that much or worry about being explicit in definition. I fully flex my visual and conceptual thinking to give abstract concepts basic form, which in turn creates groupings of objects and allows those groups to be placed in relation to one another. This post focuses specifically on the ways that shape defines visual hierarchy, along with time-saving mechanics in Miro that significantly speed up diagramming and documenting.

Our team of experts have worked with building departments all across the nation to ensure safety standards are met through full code compliance. Every municipality has its own unique process and personality, and we make it our priority to understand it. “These are the top architecture graduate students in the United States and Canada as selected by the Metropolis team,” the magazine writes. For this next technique to be most effective, you need to define your center line, or axis of focus.

Admittedly, COVID-19 is uncharted territory, but as the leading architectural design firm for a post-COVID-19 world, we are facing it with courage, innovation and resilience. Chipman Design has assembled a complement of highly-respected, nationally licensed engineering partners over the last four decades. With CDA acting as the main point of contact, this architect/engineer collaborative effort assures each client an effective project approach to both prototypical and site adaptable programming, ensuring a true synergistic team. By starting with these settings, I’m able to zoom in to smaller ideas should my board require more granular definition, while retaining the ability to zoom out to macro ideas or definitions with big, impact-sized words and type. Plunging to the depths of 3% and 2% is like the bottom of the ocean; you don’t know what you’re going to find down there. If you start with the default 100%-zoom 14pt font, you’re left with very little zoom room to become more granular in your mapping and thinking.

Obsessed with chili crisp? Our version delivers that California Heat

Whether you're stocking your first-ever pantry or exploring new flavors to amp up your cooking game, the Spice House is a great place to start. It offers an extremely large selection of unique spices, herbs, and blends—all at prices that are reasonable considering the quality. It's also helpful to have corresponding recipes to accompany herbs and spice blends to get beginners started in the kitchen.

Spices A to Z

We set out to do exactly that with a spice blend that says as much about our Golden State and Los Angeles as it does about how we love to cook and eat. I was delighted to see how versatile the Best Seller's Collection was; almost all of the spices included could be used as a go-to for things like fish, meat, and potatoes. And if you're stumped, each jar label offers a brief description with a few suggestions on what to use that seasoning for. As the weather warms up, we are always on the hunt for light lunch options. We've teamed with the food world's finest to bring you exciting new seasonings. We started thinking outside the traditional jar, and we think our Flatpack might change the way you store spices.

Fresh and flavorful spices help build the foundations for delicious cooking. A smoky paprika, fragrant cinnamon, or zesty lime peel can add flavor depth to any creation. Explore our spice specialties to find the perfect, freshly-made spice for your kitchen. I wanted to get a taste of what sets the Spice House apart from the generic aisle at the grocery store—and to me, that meant trying its unique spice blends. This very high quality Hungarian Sweet Paprika from the Kalocsa region of Hungary bears the name Csemege, or Exquisite Delicacy. This all-natural and versatile seasoning is derived from the dried and ground fruits of the Capsicum annuum plant.

Dave and Dan had respectively built successful careers in finance and technology, and were both wanting for a mission more tangible and human scale, something to love and share with family and friends. With a shared passion for food and culture, they saw the untapped potential stored up in the lifetimes of work and expertise that Bill, Ruth, Patty and Tom had poured into the Spice House. Happily, Tom and Patty also saw something in Dan and Dave—successful business builders who could bring their vision to a national and then global scale. These romesco butter beans can be made in 15 minutes and are perfect for a busy weeknight dinner.

Their daughter Patty grew up working in the store, wielding large stainless-steel scoops, operating old-style mills and sifters, and acquiring an encyclopedic knowledge of spices. "The Spice House has been providing spices, herbs, blends and extracts to renowned Michelin-star chefs and home cooks for more than six decades." Try all three of our freshly ground cinnamons in one simple set. Hungarian Sweet Paprika from The Spice House is an indispensable spice that should be in every kitchen.

My typical applications are to add just a bit of paprika to many savory dishes to improve the flavor. Not enough so you can taste paprika, just enough so that the paprika makes a difference. I also use it in Chicken Paprikash, there for the paprika flavor. We curated spice bundles to help you get inspiration on your cooking journey. Hungarian Sweet Paprika is steeped in history and tradition.

Saigon Ground Cassia Cinnamon

For more than 60 years we’ve been mastering the art of blending freshly ground spices. Each of the blends, seasonings, and rubs found below are carefully balanced bouquets of the finest herbs, spices, and salts from across the globe. Everything we blend is crafted by hand in small, weekly batches to ensure premium freshness and unmatched flavor. What is the one thing you absolutely need to take a dish from blasé to a culinary masterpiece? Without the right blend of seasonings, salt, spices, and herbs food would be boring and tasteless.

With its rich, earthy flavor and a subtle hint of sweetness, it brings an authentic taste of Hungary to your dishes. Hungarian Sweet Paprika adds color, depth, and a unique taste to your favorite recipes, making it an indispensable addition to any kitchen. Proteins, vegetables, and grains are the canvases that spices are painted on to create artful masterpieces in the kitchen. The highest quality cuts of beef and the fresh catches of the day deserve the freshest, highest quality spices.

Fire Tongue Farms also dries and smokes jalapeños for the chipotle peppers used in California Heat. The chipotle peppers in this blend, along with the pimenton from Spain that’s dried over oak coals, are what give California Heat its smoky quality. You can find a jar of chili oil on the tables at countless restaurants and noodle shops in the San Gabriel Valley, but in the last two years, Los Angeles has experienced a chile sauce revolution. In 2018, with kismet and good fortune, business partners Dave Grossman and Dan Yates met and befriended Tom and Patty.

When the time came, Bill Sr. and Ruth passed ownership of The Spice House to the second generation—Patty Erd and her husband, Tom Erd. Patty and Tom infused the business with their own zeal and creativity, expanding to many more physical locations and bringing the business into the 21st century with the launch of thespicehouse.com. Frequently sought after as expert speakers and guests of honor at culinary events, Patty and Tom continued to build The Spice House’s reputation as a trusted purveyor of the freshest and highest quality spices.

Travel the world through the lens of spices and unique blends. Whether you are a home cook looking to experiment with new flavors or a professional chef seeking the finest ingredients, Hungarian Sweet Paprika is a must-have. Embrace the rich culinary heritage of Hungary and elevate your cooking with this exceptional spice. Chili crisps and hot sauces sparked the idea for a base of chile powder and flakes and crunchy aromatics like garlic and shallots. Plus, we knew we wanted to tap into other flavors of Mexican, Asian, Indian and Middle Eastern cooking. Times Test Kitchen, we started blending and tasting and tweaking.

The medium-hot red jalapeños featured in California Heat are the El Jefe variety grown by Fire Tongue Farms near Santa Cruz, Calif. They’re ripened in the summer heat until they turn red (rather than picked while green like many commercially available jalapeños). Explore the world through the vibrant and fragrant lens of spices. If you're anything like me, sometimes you want a lot of flavor in your meals, and find yourself piling on the seasoning.

Its unique flavor profile and vibrant color add a touch of authenticity and depth to a wide range of dishes. Today, the spice is an essential component in various traditional Hungarian dishes such as goulash, chicken paprikash, and stuffed peppers. It also enjoys widespread popularity in many international cuisines, from Spanish to American. But what sets California Heat apart is its notes of citrus, from floral-bright lemongrass but especially from black lime. A staple in Persian cooking, these are grown, dried and ground at a small farm in Guatemala and have a distinctive savory-tart-musky flavor. We aimed for a citrusy, capsaicin-forward, complex spice blend that channeled the bright heat of Los Angeles.

Originally a singular brick-and-mortar shop in Chicago, the Spice House opened in the 1950s during a post-war boom of home cooking. Founders Bill and Ruth Penzey had a passion for international cuisine, and they built relationships with farmers from across the globe to seek out the finest spices to bring to their consumers. I have recently used other brands of paprika and I need to use less of TheSpiceHouse paprika presumably because it is fresher. That's not a complaint, it's just a consideration for this and several other spices from TheSpiceHouse. Burlap & Barrel sources single-origin spices directly from small-scale farms around the world. It just made sense to start with jalapeños, the most universally famous chile pepper, named after Xalapa, the capital city of Veracruz state in Mexico.

Thousands of people love our spices, try for yourself and discover why. This Lemon Poppy Loaf is the perfect recipe to kickstart your spring baking! Any baker knows that spices—the best kind, in the right combination—are what set them above the rest. I like all the spices just quiet a few of them are dry rubs which I don't use all that often. For texture and crunch, there are toasty caramelized onions and crispy slivers of garlic and shallot. The Kashmiri chili powder is vibrant red, from an heirloom variety grown in Pampore, Kashmir, that’s a staple of Indian cooking — it was analogous to cayenne with its classic heat.

The price for this two-bedroom, three-bathroom home might seem steep at $8 million, but it’s surprisingly reasonable for this wealthy area. According to Velvet Ropes, actor Keanu Reeves has "a history of stalkers creeping into his home," so it makes sense as to why his home has been kept under wraps for such a long time. Though the actor was rumored to have lived in Honolulu, Hawaii and Malibu, Calif., neither of these locations have been confirmed.

“Keanu was so traumatized by her death that there were times when he couldn’t get out of bed in the morning,” the insider noted about the incident. As Keanu Reeves’ house is private property, pictures of the interior may not be readily available. The kitchen is a marvel in both design and functionality, with modern appliances and sleek finishes.

Glass windows in nearly every room provide a heart-stopping view of the region, and the picturesque garden adds to the refreshing ambiance of the property. The beautifully designed landscape, including a large pool at the center, provides a stunning view of the city. The patio area, located conveniently near the BBQ grill, is perfect for hosting guests. The home includes a pool, courtyard, and a three-car garage for Reeves’ iconic motorcycle collection. The lake house is a stylish and comfortable residence, embodying the idyllic charm of a holiday home. Although the exact location is unknown, the encompassing landscape is said to be stunning, as is the house’s design and interior.

Earlier this year, Reeves filed for a temporary restraining order against a man who allegedly trespassed on the actor’s property at least six times between November 2022 and January. Officers then reviewed security footage, which reportedly showed intruders wearing ski masks smashing a window and entering the house, according to the outlet. Another part of Hollywood life that Reeves does not particularly like is the number of vans with tourists that line up outside celebrities' homes. Sometimes he would come out to get his newspaper in the morning and hear, "There's one!" which made him feel like a caged animal. Keanu Reeves grew up in Toronto, Canada, but his impressive acting skills quickly gained international recognition. Due to privacy and security concerns, specific details about the security measures at Keanu Reeves’ house are not publicly disclosed.

“Friends are convinced that Keanu and Alexandra’s friendship has turned romantic,” an insider exclusive revealed to LS. “Everyone is ecstatic that he’s finally found happiness with such a wonderful woman. ” The two were business partners for nearly a decade before things took a turn and his inner circle is here for it. The 55-year-old’s home — which sits on almost half of an acre — comes complete with an outdoor barbecue area, three-car garage and a long, narrow lap pool. Overall, it looks perfect for grilling and chilling with his new girlfriend, Alexandra Grant.

Yes, Keanu Reeves has incorporated several eco-friendly features into his mansion. These include solar panels, energy-efficient systems, and the use of sustainable materials, underscoring his commitment to environmental responsibility. This choice of residence is no mere coincidence but a reflection of his quest for tranquility amidst the tumult of stardom. Here, in the seclusion of the hills, Keanu finds a sanctuary that mirrors his need for solitude and contemplation. Keanu Charles Reeves, a name that resonates with versatility and humility, has etched his legacy in Hollywood with roles that span the spectrum of human emotion.

This happens to be the opposite for people of superior recognition like actors, artists, sportsmen, architects, and many more. Celebrity homes as we call them are what gather the audience and the public outside to get photographs of the celebrity inside and the home too. Celebrity homes have now become major landmarks in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Los Angeles. Homes that celebrities purchase or build are often standardized as a class apart and are documented and showcased via various media platforms. Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles is a hotspot for celebrity homes because the location is the mecca for Hollywood and due to the scenic beauty. In this article, we will take an inside look at all the Keanu Reeves House.

The two actors had previously starred together in “Speed” and “The Matrix,” making “The Lake House” a reunion of sorts. In conclusion, Keanu Reeves’ properties are luxurious and exclusive, with considerable value and worth. They are designed with spacious layouts, unique architectural designs, and luxurious amenities, making them a perfect fit for the Hollywood superstar. One of the most striking features of Keanu Reeves’ lake house is its expansive outdoor area.

Since Reeves keeps his life on the low, there is not much about the interior of his house. Keanu Reeves (a.k.a. the internet’s boyfriend) is known to be down-to-earth, and his Los Angeles home definitely reflects his chill style. Although $5.6 million sounds like a hefty price tag for a two-bedroom and three-bathroom abode, that’s actually very reasonable for the affluent zip code.

The star's 5,607-square-feet Los Angeles County home came complete with two bedrooms and three bathrooms, a pool, and a three-car garage, per Velvet Ropes. As of March 2020, the property was worth $8.07 million, which is a drop in the bucket in comparison to his $360 million net worth (per Celebrity Net Worth). Hopefully fans and paparazzi will give Reeves — and his girlfriend Alexandra Grant — peace and privacy. Keanu Reeves is a talented actor with over 30 years of experience in the industry. He possesses a unique energy and charisma that have earned him roles in Hollywood blockbusters such as the Matrix series to the John Wick franchise. Thanks to his showbiz success, Reeves’ net worth is an estimated $380 million.

He has also taken more roles in TV shows that have done quite well which include 'The Devil’s Advocate (1997)'. Hang onto your hats because this guy has a filmography list longer than my list of exes. But this dude’s been acting since I was a fetus, so it’s safe to say his film history is pretty impressive. There have been rumors that Reeves has a swanky pad on in Honolulu, Hawaii, however, there have been no official reports confirming this. The actor has a history of stalkers creeping into his home so it’s safe to assume that he probably wouldn’t want the entire world knowing his address.

The Inspiration Behind the Design

Events at Keanu Reeves’ house are private, and invitations are typically extended only to close friends, family, and industry acquaintances. Yes, Keanu Reeves owns a house in Hawaii, but specific details about the property may not be publicly available. The value of Keanu Reeves’ house is not publicly disclosed, so the exact worth is unknown. The exact address of Keanu Reeves’ house is not publicly disclosed for security and privacy reasons. The master bedroom is a true sanctuary, with a generous king-size bed and a cozy seating area that offers a perfect spot to unwind. Aside from Silva, there have been several cases of other trespassers attempting to access Keanu Reeves’ house. In 2019, a woman climbed over the fence of his property and took a nap in his guestroom. In 2014, Keanu Reeveshouse was burglarized, with the individual responsible gaining access by smashing a window. The intruder proceeded to ransack the house, taking personal items and memorabilia worth thousands of dollars before being discovered by a cleaning crew. After taking acting courses in the ’80s, he booked his first TV role in 1984 on the Canadian sitcom Hangin’ In, Whoa Is (Not) Me reports.

With security concerns in mind, he has implemented a state-of-the-art security system. As Reeves embarks on an exciting new chapter personally and professionally, his real estate portfolio will likely continue expanding. Back in 2014, a fan reportedly broke into the actor’s home at four in the morning and simply sat in one of his chairs in the library. There have been no official reports to confirm this, and it's easy to understand why. Los Angeles is particularly a hotspot for celebrity homes not only because of its scenic beauty but also because of its proximity to Hollywood. It's iconic, posh, and one of the highly-priced neighborhoods in Hollywood hills. The lake house itself was built on Maple Lake, which is located on the Maple Lake Forest Preserve just off of 95th Street in the southwest area of Chicago’s suburbs.

The Timeless Appeal of Log Cabin Homes: A Nod to History with Modern Flair

The decor exudes sophistication and elegance, reflecting the personal style and taste of the actor. The open plan living area is spacious and bright, with floor to ceiling windows that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Get ready to step inside the luxurious home of one of Hollywood’s most prominent actors, Keanu Reeves. In this article, we provide a virtual tour and exclusive insights into Keanu Reeves’ house.

Unlike the rumored Malibu estate, Reeves’ ownership of a Beverly Hills mansion is undisputed. He purchased the Mediterranean-style home in the elite Beverly Park enclave in 1999 for $4.5 million. While property records connect him to a discrete Carbon Beach parcel, its precise location and details remain murky.

It’s locked up pretty tight, though, and Keanu is notoriously hush-hush about his personal life so unfortunately, we get no love with regards to interior photos. The 5,607 square-foot pad is currently estimated to be worth a whopping $8.07 million. Keep in mind that according to real estate estimates, the average home in the area sells for around $1.725 million. Even crazier is the fact that the property appreciated a whopping $3.22 million since he purchased it in 2003 for $4.85 million.

The property features an impressive driveway leading up to the three-story house with panoramic views of Los Angeles. The house is designed for entertaining, with an open floor plan, spacious living room, and dining area. The property also includes a resort-style outdoor living space with a swimming pool and a sleek, modern design. The lake house has become a popular destination for fans of the movie, who flock to see the stunning architecture and idyllic setting. The house itself is a marvel of modern design, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, sleek lines, and breathtaking views of the water.

Reeves only lets specific information about himself be released apparently, which means not sharing many details about his living situation (and for good reason). The backyard is a sight to behold, with a large infinity pool that overlooks the city. The backyard has a modern design that is consistent with the overall look of the house. It also has a lush garden that adds a touch of nature to the otherwise minimalist design.

However, it is confirmed that the Canadian lives in West Hollywood, Calif., and he's spoken openly about not liking the amount of paparazzi outside of his residence. Movies like The Matrix (1999), Constantine (2005), and John Wick (2014) helped catapult Reeves to superstardom. But despite his celebrity, the actor has shown he isn’t entirely fond of the spotlight. He’s a famously low-key person who tends to keep most aspects of his life under wraps, from his relationship status to his living arrangements. As previously mentioned, Keanu Reeves is a very private person, and his house is built to accommodate his privacy. The house is situated in a gated community, accessed by its private driveway.

In March 2006, some passenger terminals were transferred (as management) to DP World (Dubai-based corporation). The company "Port Authority of New York and New Jersey" was established in 1921 to manage all facilities and services within the combined NY-NJ harbor area. The company also controls all vehicular and rapid-transit systems connecting New York and New Jersey, several airports, as well as real estate developments. During winter are popular southbound itineraries – to the Caribbean and Bahamas.

RCG (which also owns Celebrity Cruises) homeported Celebrity Edge here, starting turnaround operations in 2018 (on December 1st). The new T25 terminal (in Hollywood FL) was officially inaugurated with the ship's arrival (on November 20th). The grand ceremony was attended by Richard Fain (RCG's President and CEO) and Lisa Lutoff-Perlo (Celebrity's President and CEO), plus key cruise brand executives and local officials. As container shipping (cargo) port, in 2013 Port Everglades was ranked Florida's 1st and USA's 10th busiest, handling over 1 million TEUs. Port Everglades is one of the USA's main cruise departure (turnaround) ports for Caribbean roundtrip itineraries.

Beyond the infrastructure cost, the project was delayed by haggling over the price of electrical power – in an era where cheap fuel prices made shipboard generation more economical. The power costs are subsidized in part by the EDC and the New York Power Authority, with terminal user Carnival Corp picking up the rest. As part of an agreement, Carnival Corporation pays USD 12 cents per kilowatt-hour for shorepower. As of September 2016, NYCEDC has responsibility for the system's operations and maintenance. A US$650,000 federal grant was given to the city for the building of a new ferry terminal. Construction works are scheduled to start in 2024-Q2 and be completed in 2027-Q4. Following President Trump's executive order on immigration, in the end of January 2017 Port Everglades officials reported cruise tourists being detained by US Customs and Border Protection. All detainees had to provide background info about them, their families and also their past life in their native countries. The new President's order was signed on Jan 27, and included a 90-day ban on travel to the USA by citizens of Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen. In January 2017, the city agreed to limit the per-year number of cruise vessels scheduled to dock in Port Charleston.

Carrying together over 16,000 passengers, the three liners joined up to celebrate the USA-homeporting of Harmony of the Seas (newest Oasis ship) in Fort Lauderdale. Of the three ships, Harmony was the newest but also the biggest - even though by only 1 ft (30 cm) and 1700 tons. Harmony OTS was finishing her inaugural Transatlantic repositioning crossing. Port New York has two cruise ports with their own passenger terminal facilities. Port Manhattan (4 berths on 2 piers - numbers 88 and 90) is located on Manhattan Island's western coast, beside the Hudson River.

It encompasses an area with a radius ~25 mi (40 km) and includes all navigable waterways in NY–NJ Harbor Estuary. The covered coastline is around 650 mi (1050 km) along both states. By annual cargo capacity, the seaport is ranked USA's 3rd largest - after South Louisiana (Mississippi River) and Houston (Texas). In early-December 2018, Port Everglades and Empresa Nacional Portuaria de Honduras (Honduras Port Authority) signed an MOU as part of the Sister Seaports Program.

This NYC cruise terminal has 3 wharves – Pier 88 (2 berths), Pier 90 (2 berths), and Pier 92 (1 overflow berth). They can accommodate up to 5 cruise liners simultaneously and each has a fully-functioning passenger terminal building. Manhattan terminal serves NCL Norwegian, Carnival Cruise Line and Holland America. In August 2016, the port signed with Carnival Corporation an extension to their agreement to the year 2030. The renovation and extension allow the handling of larger-sized (including Carnival's newest) vessels.

Within the seaport there are 2 FTZs (foreign-trade zones) where commercial goods (domestic and foreign) receive same Customs treatment as outside USA. Annually, Port NY-NJ handles around USD 208 billion in shipping cargoes, around 3,4 million TEU's (shipping containers) and nearly 0,4 million cars. The agreements were designed to increase revenues and sustainability/emissions reduction, with term lengths ranging between 3-15 years, each with an optional 5-year renewal. Port Everglades' "Northport Terminal 2" and "Northport Terminal 4" share a car parking (a multi-story garage) with capacity thousands of cars. On May 10, 2018, USCG Cutter James offloaded in Port Everglades approx 6 tons of cocaine (street value USD 180 million) interdicted in international waters in the Pacific Ocean. Drugs were seized by 3 USCG cutters (Bertholf, Bear, James) and from 6 separate drug smuggling ships navigating off Central and South America and Mexico in the period February-April 2018.

In June 2017, the port invested USD 38,4 million for purchasing 3x container-handling gantry cranes (serving the world's largest Super Post-Panamax container carriers/boxships) priced USD 13,8 million each. This class of cargo vessels can carry up to 10,500 TEU-containers each. Port Everglades' capacity improvements project was budgeted USD 437,5 million, and included construction of new berths (for larger cargo vessels) and installing a new rail infrastructure for new gantry cranes.

The northern part of Port Everglades is called Northport (with terminals 2 and 4). The cruise port's central area is called Midport (terminals 18, 19, 21, 25, 26, 29). In 2016, the cruise port completed pilot testing of APC kiosks (abbrev "Automated Passport Control") in 2 terminals. This is yet another CBP initiative to fasten the passenger inspection process. Since 2011, the cruiseferry company BALEARIA Caribbean provides daily crossings from Fort Lauderdale to Freeport (Grand Bahama Island). In August 2019, the company started a fast-ferry service from Fort Lauderdale to Bimini Island Bahamas (crossing time ~2 hours).

In 2016, Port Everglades handled almost 3,9 million passengers served by 9 different cruise lines with a total of 39 different vessels. 2022 became the Port's record year by annual TEU container volumes - nearly 2,8 million , or 1,5% increase over 2021. The Port also served 261,636 cruise tourists and moved 199,343 vehicles (at Columbus Street Terminal). Both Inland Ports (Greer and Dillon) reported total 167,147 rail moves.

In addition to the deepening project, Port Charleston started a major program for upgrading its terminal infrastructure and equipment. The Manhattan passenger terminal is on Hudson River (on Manhattan Island's shoreline), located is between West 44 and West 52 streets. Both Newark International Airport and LaGuardia Airport are located approx 15 mi (24 km) away, while JFK International Airport is approx 20 mi (32 km) away.

The project also included dredging (deepening) the navigation channel. All these ports/cruise terminals are part of the "Port of New York and New Jersey" - a port district in the New York Metro (total population 20,1+ million). For Terminal 25's new design was contracted the company "Bermello Ajamil and Partners".

On select Cruisetours, you’ll enjoy additional included experiences that showcase the special qualities of each destination. Cruisetours already include several experiences to help you explore the Last Frontier, but you can also choose to add optional excursions tailored to your likes. A land where summer unfolds like a fairy tale, where the sun stretches across the sky, refusing to set, painting landscapes so diverse they seem otherworldly. Here, history whispers tales of resilient cultures against a backdrop of nature's most dramatic scenes.

Included Experiences & Optional Land Excursions

Get to know wildlife, big and small, that call this wilderness home, like otters, eagles, bears, and whales. This is Last Frontier pioneering with the cruise line voted Best Overall by Travel Weekly readers for 20 years running. Finally, you'll find some San Francisco round-trip itineraries — usually 10 or 11 nights long — as well as longer sailings between San Francisco and Vancouver. You'll have up to two days of scenic cruising, in addition to sailing the Inside Passage.

Seward is also the starting point of the Alaska railroad connecting it to Anchorage and further north, a much-loved component on our Cruisetours. From here, you can enjoy an Alaska Cruisetour before or after your Celebrity Summit sailing. The largest city in Alaska, Anchorage, is surrounded by the Chugach mountains and national park as well as Cook Inlet offering a variety of outdoor activities from hiking, biking, moose watching, boating and more. For those looking to learn more about the native people, make sure to stop at the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Join Vacations By Rail and special guest from VIA Rail Canada to learn all about VIA Rail's signature trains, onboard experiences, popular destinations connected by each route, and a variety of bucket list itineraries. As you take to the water, Alaska's Inside Passage plays host toyour luxurious cruise ship.

Most itineraries are seven nights, but you'll find a handful that are longer. You'll find magnificent mountains (often snow-capped, even in the summertime), lush forests, waterfalls, fjords and calving glaciers. If it's marine life you've come to see, you'll find it in abundance, from whales and dolphins to sea lions and harbor seals.

Nothing brings you closer to history and adventure than the best Alaska Cruise Tours with Royal Caribbean. Like everything else in Alaska, the Great Land’s national parks far exceed expectations. Read about Glacier Bay’s seven tidewater glaciers, Denali’s 6-million acres of undisturbed wilderness, Kenai Fjords' astonishing Exit Glacier and other national parks. On a cruise to Alaska, live a nature lover's dream in the land where guests can catch postcard-worthy sights.

If you prefer to stay grounded, you can find informative trolley tours of ports like Skagway. Hop a bus, kayak, boat or plane to look for bears, eagles, whales, sea otters and other wildlife. Note that moose don't regularly show up in the Inside Passage; you'll need to head farther north to find them. If you want to cruise Alaska but also see some of the interior and enjoy a stay in a lodge or hotel, go for a cruisetour package from either Holland America or Princess Cruises. Both have fantastic itineraries that take passengers not only to the Inside Passage, but also Anchorage, Denali National Park, the Yukon, Kenai Peninsula, Talkeetna and Fairbanks. Some lines also offer Alaska cruisetours that venture into Canada's Yukon, including a few Holland America tours that combine half a cruise with a cruisetour that starts or ends in Skagway.
